Tonight

by Indian Comma Bean   Aug 12, 2010

Every moment wisps of decay
pardon flesh from fleeting breath,
remark apparent time to test; detest,
eyes observe sanity fiddle with reservoirs
of dwindling seconds passing clouds
on every beat, drip-drop, the red sea
plays in whimsy with the sun among the
stars, weeping, and they lay there sleeping-
Oh, to be so vigilant, to melt upon the pane
of my dreams, just a glance, that's all I ask,
to be so synonymous with emotion, placidity reaps
the harvest of clocks. Yet I shall remain a lonely
passenger among ghosts atop the platform while
mirrors simply bewilder my mind with hope.
