Before You Say Goodbye

by Soulful Ensemble   Aug 13, 2010

How beautiful and mighty
Is the rose's red embrace;
Like the blushing of your cheeks
Which leaves you full of grace.

How peaceful is your stare
That gazes through my soul;
As we sit together
And you make me whole.

How quietly you speak,
As if words had weight,
When you kiss my cheek
Not a moment late.

How white you smile,
With dimpled cheeks
That feel so soft
Each time we meet.

How long you stare,
Gazing through my eyes,
As I caress your hair
And hours do go by.

How sweet it sounds
When your lips move
And flow abound
Through every groove.

How sad it seems
That we might some day
Forget these words
As time goes our way.

How sad it'll be
When we forget the touch
And the way we kissed
That we need so much.

How sick i'll be
To then wake up
And look for you
To find no one.

But for now lets stare
Into each other's eyes..
Until morning dares
To make us say goodbye.
