A House Darker than me

by Sunshine   Aug 13, 2010

My heart is pumping sharp thorns killing my heart beats.
As sharp as snow feels while standing on;with bare feet
Prisoner beyond ones thorny life, and how to run free ?
When the dimness of this house, grew as dark as me

Still your words wound me, and I can't bleed more
Please dive through me, don't I bitter like a sore?
Unforgettable, painful moments that yourself arise
You live through them, as I dwell in my own eyes

Painting this eternal winter, as I unrest in your shade
this soul of mine dies bitter as my color starts to fade
I'm drunk by this sadness, hating this unconscious me..
Yet wondering if such immortal lines would ever show
what my pity burning tears failed to make you for years see

A good written poem with many feelings being portrayed in every line. A sad piece has been written but still shows the writers feelings. Good job and keep writing.

A thorny life, yes, I think you decribed that accurately, Nana..but one day it will become the past, if you let it.

Painting this eternal winter, as I unrest in your shade
this soul of mine dies bitter as my color starts to fade

    ^^
Beautiful, unforced rhyming here and also a very beautiful wording, in all its sadness:(

I hope you will never truly grow bitter, life is so beautiful..no matter how deeply we get hurt..we still live in this beautiful place and you still have people who genuinly care for you, at least one;)

    * a big comforting hug*

    5/5 Ingrid
