Unsteady hand

by tainted melody   Aug 14, 2010

The words you speak resound in my mind,
like a captivating drama stuck on rewind.
I know what happens in every scene,
but somehow you keep me waiting for the picture on the screen.

The words I can't say screaming out through my eyes.
But i can't look at you long enough for you to read my disguise.
You open up doors and I tighten the lock.
You want to run now, and I wait for the clock

So scared what might happen if my walls fall down.
Will you come to my rescue and lift me from the ground?
Will you sway with me in the summer breeze?
Will you swim with me in distant seas?

Can I trust you with my unsteady hand?
Will you show me you care and beside me stand?
Will you talk me into a faded trance?
Will you make me smile with a quick glance?

Will the simple things make my life sweet?
When I jump off the edge your arms I hope to meet.
