Unhappy

Against the force of the current,
Happiness I seek!
I search, look around, I stare yet suppress
For many expressions and images are hung on
each wall beside each step I fight to take.
Diving through the waves of this wide ocean,
Chasing happiness..
which may be true, yet may be fake.
I track not the safe side, for he who
Pursue for happiness, darkness he shall abide.

Nothing; comes not easily, nor can "nothing" be easily found.
Easy is but a word, with an illusory back ground.
And so waves I shall cross, miles I shall sail.
Mountains I shall move, if happiness is what I trail.

For as easy as a smile seems to me, a laughter shall never be.
Smiling brings you but joy of the moment,
yet a laughter sets you free!
And where freedom costs a lot, I wonder if I'll ever
let go this unhappy sailor residing inside of me.

    The smooth tempo and the wording just gives depth to your idea!

    You amazing chikadee! that was such a beautiful piece! That last stanza really just did it for me! I dont even know where to start ...

    Nana,

    From your words I can read you feel lost and it is not hard to imagine why. Life can be cruel and take away whatever it's fickle mind decides to do..be it your health, family members, a child, a husband..and to stay in balance can be hard, very hard to do. Many have lost their sanity, unable to accept whatever life presented them with, or have come to a complete standstill, just vegetating until their time has come to go back to heaven.

    I will give you my view on happiness and hope my words will be of help to you: happiness is in all small things, in the beauty of nature, in a child's laughter, in a moment spent with friends. Many have this idea of "postponed"happiness as I call it, they make conditions that have to be fulfilled, like say..having the right man in their life or a job, a certain look, weight, etc..once they obtain that certain something, they find out it was an illusion and they still are not happy. You can stop this, if you want to, by being happy with what you have and be happy in the here and now..count your blessings, I am sure you have more than you realize;)
