Homebound to Nothing

by Koby Smith   Aug 18, 2010

Why does it hurt, to miss you so much,
Remembering the love in your gentle touch.

Light shines the shadows, on my blinded heart,
But warmth there is not, as we drift apart.

I want to run straight to your arms and lift you up,
To the sky so high, because it just feels right.

My heart says yes, but my mind says no,
My river of love no longer flows.

So fine, I am done, I can not take anymore,
I am making that step and shutting the door.
