Once upon a time....

Once upon a time I thought I knew love
I had high expectaions and dreams
of finding that angel sent from above
an dancing at night under the moonbeams

I knew out there I had a soulmate
waiting and dreaming of me too
one day we would meet by fate
and to each other always be true

and then one day I fell in love
never had I felt a feeling so strong
for he had been the one I was dreaming of
nothing in my life had seemed wrong

but soon I foun out his heart
it didn't feel the same
he tore it all apart
for him it was just a game

so now I sit here tears pouring out
with only the pieces of my heart to hold
my head filled with doubt
and now all left to felt is numb and cold
