Pouring Images

by Sunshine   Aug 18, 2010

As bright lights went off, waiting for a wild midnight
that takes nonreturnable parts of my heavy mind
slave to ones heart, trapped to bitter memories
alone with this sour bond of my untold stories

Night feeds me darkness, though mine already hurt
with pouring images like heavy rain yet with dirt
amid breezes too cold to warm, too hot not to burn.
Abiding between falling walls. Where shall I turn ?

Gazing to the reality of this sky, nothing seems to be..
stars shining brighter as more thoughts penetrate me
It's hard moments like this, when spirits decide to die
but my empty vessels sober, as my tears lift me up
with sighs; this is the difference between them & I ..

*unlike many I decide to fight my sadness to my last breath..that's all about this.

First, the title is an excellent choice

and this pace between midnight & mind (though they dont rhyme) is captivating!

I liked it so much. The atmosphere is just gloomy +

    Nana
There is always hope at the end of the day. I think many of us just blind ourselves to it.
So much sad lonliness in your words.
    Good job!
    Take care

What I admire about you, Nana, is that you share your feelings of sadness without feeling sorry for yourself and it such a way it allows people who read it to somehow find comfort in what you write. Sadness is something that is so heavy on the mind, and knowing the sun is still there is something you can know, but not feel at those moments.

It takes a lot of inner strength to keep fighting for your own happiness, but I know you can do it...and you will pull it off:)

    Where shall I turn ?

    ^^
This question in the second stanza really got to me, it is so sad to know how lonesome you feel:(

    Keep the faith, hun

    Well done

A very good poem. Showing the writers true feelings known and the emotions come forth really good as well. I could feel them in every line. Good job and keep writing.
