I can sit here and write about how lost and alone i feel without you by my side,
but it'll only get me nowhere.

i can sit here and tell myself i'll get over you as time goes on,
but it'll only make me miss you more.

i can sit here and cry myself to sleep,
but awake in the morning just to do it all again.

i can curse at the world for all the pain i feel,
but it'll only bring more anger.

i can sit here and convince myself i'll be okay without you,
but it'll only make me realize, i won't.

i can sit here and promise myself a happy ending,
but it'll only make the nightmare worse.

i can sit here and complain,
but what purpose will it serve?

i can sit here and throw my fists up at fear and say i'm done,
but it'll only prove i am weak like they all said i was.
