After All The Rain

Although She Sits In Silence,
Her Mind Is Screaming Out.
Thoughts Of Guilt, Thoughts Of Pain,
And Also Thoughts Of Doubt.

Her Eyes Move From The Tiled Floor
To Where The Problem Lives.
She Slides Her Hand Across Her Skin
And Bites Her Bottom Lip.

Hand Over Her Stomach,
She Debates Yes Or No.
Should She Keep This Precious Gift
Or Should She Let It Go?

Her Eyes Dart From Door Number One
To The Door That Leads Outside.
She Knows That This, To Her, Is Wrong,
But Wants To Do "What's Right."

The Doctor Calls Her Name
And She Raises From Her Chair.
To Kill A Life To Save Herself
Just Does Not Seem Fair.

The Doctor Waits In Silence
As She Hesitates To Move.
And When The Thoughts Begin To Shout,
She Knows What She Must Choose.

Her Feet Move To The Exit
As The Tears Fall Down Her Cheek.
Her Eyes Begin To Burn
And It's Hard For Her To Breathe.

She Knows That It Was Hard
And The Worst Is Yet To Come,
But She'd Rather Struggle Through It All
Than To Do What Feels So Wrong.

Her Tears Begin To Stop
And Then So Does The Pain.
Because The Rainbow Always Comes
After All The Rain.
