You and I

by Nobody   Aug 22, 2010

Tonight can we let go of past scars
and just wear our hearts on our sleeves?

Can we dance until the dusk turns to dawn
leaving our masks behind locked doors?

Waltzing through the light of moon
catching a glimpse of ourselves...

Stay close to my side till the sun begins to rise
limbs tangle together in a honest embrace.

The stars above are the only witnesses,
let your lips linger close to mine...

Don't let your hand leave mine,
I want this warmth to last.

I want to fall, to fly through the black sky
just for one night I want to be free.

For as long as a place like this exist,
then so do You and I...
