Bliss

People say, "ignorance is bliss."
Well I say different.
I say you can never be truly blissful
Until you understand the world.

Since this is such a rare occurrence,
True bliss cannot exist except in death,
For only in death do we fully understand life.

I long for that moment of true bliss,
When all my worries are carried away
And my heart is lifted to some higher place.

I long for that moment of true bliss,
When I understand why bliss is so rare.

I long for that moment of true bliss
When I finally realize,

I don't care.
