Within Nature's Beauty

by Bradley Peter   Aug 25, 2010

The greens above the browns,
And the colors above the greens,
Can't get that in concrete towns,
To see these stunning scenes,

The twisting bark upon the tree,
The gentle sway between the leaves,
The feelings of being free,
In nature as she breathes,

The crisp air caressing lightly,
Somber sounds caress the ear,
Floating fireflies flutter nightly,
As the darkness closes near,

In the belly of darkness midnight,
The stars cannot help but shine,
They dance and twinkle so bright,
If there is a heaven, this is mine,

An orange glow pierces the sky,
And it's clear the day is anew,
Peeking, as if it were shy,
With its warmth on morning dew,

Birds cheerfully sing their song,
And the air is so fresh and clear,
And you feel this is a place to belong,
Without wars, fighting and fear,
