I stand tall with a bounce to my walk
I talk clearly with no hesitation when I talk.
I never doubt myself when someone makes me feel low
That was something I gave up many years ago.
My ear to ear smile gleams ever so bright,
I'm never the one to run away when something doesn't feel right.
I remain eye contact the moment that you scan my eyes.
I am not naive when your in my face telling me lies.
I am not someones doormat for you to wipe your feet on.
I won't drown myself in tears, cause to me life goes on.
Confidence is something I finally have gained, from my thoughts to my mouth there is nothing I'll restrain.
From one put down to other, I've learnt something all should know.
