Protector of the waters

by lillie   Aug 30, 2010

The sunrise had just come up and I was ready to go.
The water glistened, the water stayed still.
The water seemed hungry waiting for its kill.

It lured you in with it beautiful color of blue,
there layed a monster buried deep within this was true.

Toes dipped into the crystal clear water and oh the white silky sand.
It covered my feet and soon it covered my hands.

Mother nature was whispering for me to hear
the protector of the water was near.
She whispered to me "Child have no fear"

My heart was racing as it circled around the water.
It was not swimming alone, it came with its daughter.

I was so close to the lord of the water, but I was closer to her daughter.

I submerged my body under the water waiting
for the kill, my heart was beating fast but I had to stay still.

The black big eyes yearning for the kill,
it was excited, this was her thrill. To bad she could not
see me as i layed my body on the ground like a statue so still...
