Absolute

by prejudice is the child of ignorance   Aug 31, 2010

Things always start slowly
Calm and peaceful; on the verge of serenity
Lull me to sleep in your somber summer symphony
Cradle my soul in the nook between empathy and apathy

Gather your troops. I crave more!
Reap the benefits of falsified hope
Faster and faster you go, there is no way to stop
Fall into the trap with elegance and innocence

Smell that? Feel that trickle flowing down your spine?
It's called Panic, ancient, it stands the test of time
As I watch you dangle from your cliff, I smile
Cruel, indeed. Learn from your past, watch your bite

Novices are always the same
Full of pretentious potential, No, I really can!
Sooner or later little one, realize this is not a game
Look up at me now as you fall, deeper and deeper into this abyss

Hang onto your little bonds, once so strong
Or so they seemed; do you still believe in them now?
Hang on to the dreamy spider web of esperanza that you long for
You can't lose something you never had.
Old reliable, isn't it poodle?

You can't fight forever, I will win
Let your teardrop join my ocean of broken dreams
