If you only could
Turn back the hands of time
What would you do different??
Would you take back all your crimes??

Would you look at her && say
That you wish you loved her more??
Would you have saved her??
If you only knew before

Would you stare into her eyes
As the tears poured down her face??
Would you wrap your arms around her,
Take her into your embrace??

Would you promise her forever??
Or, more gently, let her go??
Would you have spoken to her
When she said her first "Hello"??

Would you have even been there
Or, would you pretend you didn't care??
Would you take back everything
To save your own despair??

&& If you could, would you
Be able to watch her walk on by
Knowing that the words you've spoken
Are the reasons that she cries

Could you say, honestly
That you never loved her at all??
Do you feel just fine knowing
She was the only one, to fall??

&& How would you feel the moment
That you found that she was dead
Her wrists now slashed, blood in a pool
She has no more tears to shed

Would you find peace, that she now
Doesn't need to be alone
Or, would you take it all back
