The Disaster

by Katie Angeleri   Sep 4, 2010

I cringe in pain
My thoughts screaming out into the night
As I run in the pouring rain
I desperately hold on and fight

The rain kisses me with a hungry force
Disguising my broken tears
Please Lord guide me onto the right course
Hear; listen to my desperate prayers

Adrenaline flows through my veins
Encouraging my legs to pump faster
Scattering across the plains
Away from the Disaster

The Disaster who walked over me like a doormat
Who easily opened the door to my fears
What type of person would do that?
To release abused tears

I slip and tumble
I look back to see his mischievous grin
My heart begins to crumble
As he prepares to do his infernal sin

A luminous light flows over me
The Disaster shrieks and starts to disappear
I look over to see who helped me be free
It was you my dear
