The final century

by anand singh   Sep 6, 2010

It seems to me that mankind are being controlled
by some unseen evil force,
which causes them to commit heinous acts without
feeling any remorse.

Civil wars, genocide and vile acts of terrorism, is at
it's highest peak,
and somewhere in this world children are dying
from starvation, or being molested as we speak.

Child pornography, ethnic cleansing and child labor,
is running rampantly,
while bleeding heart Judges in our court of law, giving
slap-on-wrist sentences to the menaces of society.

Racism, greed, adulterous and promiscuous behavior,
seem to be the norm each day,
while not many stop and think of the price, one day,
that they will have to pay.

From greenhouse gasses, and toxic waste dumping,
each day we're polluting the earth,
the only chance that we may have for survival, is a
complete spiritual rebirth.

This world to me is beyond repair I am sure that many
will agree,
it's plain to see that we all are living in the final century.

It is a sad commentary on today's world but so true. We just have to remember that God has a plan for the world and all of us. We should keep that in mind and take care of this earth every day we are blessed to be here.

Thanks Ingrid...What I try to do with this one is to keep it fresh in the minds of us all of the sad shape our universe is in.
Will be back with more uplifting ones soon.
    Take care.

    Dear Paul,

This poem is not cheerful or uplifting, as your work ususally is..I know you are probably right about all you stated, but I hope somehow we will be able to turn the tide:)

This is as old as time as time itself:(
