Destruction

by Mushh   Sep 9, 2010

As the wind whispers to me, telling of all her pain,
I gently howl back at her, and tonight I'll do the same.
As the stars begin to dim, they take away my shine,
Punishment for falling, they leave me way behind.

The moon has turned his back, he no longer wants to play,
The sun has finally burnt out, the people lost their faith.
The waters begin to rise, and I'm drowning in my sorrows.
The hate is growing stronger, but I've no hope for new tomorrows.

The earth is turning grey, his age has finally shown,
As I slip him through my fingers, his substance now unknown.
The birds fall from the sky, Like weights tied to their wings
Their voices lost in distance, with the pain that love can bring.

The world is at a stand still, and I've lost the will to fight,
The tears will flow forever, from morning through to night.
The heart becomes the heavy one, as she silently waits to burst,
Now promise you'll never forget, It was I who loved you first.
