Puddle In My Heart

by Kuro   Sep 10, 2010

The soft rain gently flows
down from heaven
masking my sorrow
like febreez in my bathroom
the hypnotic pitter-patter
soothes my mind into coma
time looses its value
as nature expresses itself
a trance-like dream
meditative to its core
clean, fresh air
cold and moist
the rain removes
the humid, dry air
like it removed all
my unnecessary cares
the rain has past
but the atmosphere still remains
it left a puddle in my heart
and removed my chains

What a remarkable poem you have written for us to see. The imagery and emotions of tranquility could so easily be felt by the reader as he got captivated by your great introduction.

    "The soft rain gently flows
    down from heaven
    masking my sorrow"

The first three lines were by far my favorite part of this poem. Good descriptions and flow made this a really good piece. The transition from sorrow to being at peace in mind was wonderfully portrayed as well. Good job and keep writing.
