Highschool Sweetheart

by Mommy And Me   Sep 12, 2010

Strolling through old memories; dieing
Head is spinning; things are struggling
What if this, what about that...
... Lost in a broken fairytale.

Struggling through broken tears; dieing
Mind is fraying; thoughts are fading
Maybe if we, maybe if I...
...Cost of leaving you.

Standing in the vivid dreams; dieing
Relationship is tearing; you are tingling
Nothing you can do; nothing she wants...
Accost... someone like me

Strolling the sunny streets; alive
Family is singing; no more struggling
What ifs gone; Maybe ifs vanished.
... Crossed the right path.

The title automatically brought me in and I know why. when you said "cost of leaving you" and "mind is fraying", you have already grasped my memories of my hs sweetheart.

When you loved someone, not for what they have become, but you love the memories of what they once were, it takes everything from you...

Great poem, I know you didnt need to say much to put a vivid picture in my head with emotions, and thats a good poet right there.

    thanks
