An Empty Arena.

by Steven Beesley   Sep 16, 2010

Numb to the ears,
my senses now
diminishing with
the fading light.

I feel no warm presence
in the familiar
surroundings I once
knew so well.

Gone is the spirit,
the soul and the
common bonds that
once were so tight.

What remains are the
ruins of an amphitheater that
once was filled by great minds,
now left desolate and inhabited
by ghosts.

You do have a way of writing all your own. I like your work and your thoughts that are put into each stanza so perfectly. Awesome

An interesting poem about an abandon arena and all the different thoughts accompanying it. A good flowing thought flow accompany the poem as it caught the readers eye at the very beginning and didn't release until the end. Good job and keep writing.
