Ice Capped Mountains(Tanka)

-Glistening mountains-
Frigid above the earths' ground,
Standing in beauty.
Casting her cool wind downward,
Cloaked with her still morning mist.

Tanka is a classic form of Japanese poetry related to the haiku with five unrhymed lines of five, seven, five, seven, and seven syllables. (5, 7, 5, 7, 7)

    That was brilliant, I have recently started practice on haiku and now I might try some tanka.

    That was really good, great imagery throughout, captured me instantly.
