I feel the chains surround me,
A collar is made and I'm forced down,
Tugging on my arms and legs,
While the rest of me is being bound.
A slave I am to one unseen,
Though I know he's not far,
His presence surrounds me,
I know he is not my morning star.
Then the light I see shine through,
I see the man who is not a man,
My dark prison filled with light,
My ties break with a wave of his hand.
I feel a touch of a fabric so soft,
Smoother then silk it molds to my skin,
Creating an armor stronger then steel,
My savior says, let your new life begin.
