Meant to Be

Run away to hide
Scream out inside
Slam the door drop the dead bolt
The skin chills in its revolt.
Steel plates won't stop the ashen hand
And it pours through thick as sand
Grips fast against struggling strife
To take from breath it's very life.

Covers cold as ice to stop the heart
Bleeding out to extract apart
Liquid acid floods the vein
No scream could silence it's pain,
Plunged deep into thick mire
Gasp for air, but none is here
Tightly choking out, like a deadly sin
To pull from the body the soul within,

Blood drips down, a slow steady stream
Pools on the ground with crimson gleam
Sulfur leaks from the skin
Light has left, it all so grim
Gnashed open and un-healing now,
All too sudden, wondering how,
To fall quickly, so far down
Leaves a mess all over the ground.

Breathe in death
With every breath
From life drift and move away,
Step closer to it everyday,
Scream forever, there's no free,
Because death is meant to be.
