College: Freshmen Year

by scars and stories   Sep 17, 2010

Addicted to your blackberry
Suzie's got a popped cherry
Heading out for more caffeine
Looking through a magazine
Went to class and fell asleep
Problem sets that make you weep
Textbooks that weigh half a ton
Readings that you haven't done
Elevator broke again
First time boys believe they're men
Partying on Saturday
Sunday's damage control day
Girls with M.R.S. degrees
That one long awaited breeze
Homecoming and football games
Solo cups, forgotten names
Teachers you can't understand
Concert with your favorite band
Ramen noodles, protein bars
Watching all your favorite stars
Fraternities and freshmen dorms
Windows open, freakish storms
Frisbee throwing, libraries
How did you forget your keys?
Nights stayed up past 3 am
RAs that remember them
Dining halls and ID cards
Parents send their warm regards
Freshman year, man what a ride
Did I love it? That's implied.
