A Map to My Sorrow

Insanity wraps itself around my head
Twisted thoughts consuming me
My soul shatters into a million tiny pieces
Until this eternal ache runs free

Guilty for all the crimes I have made
Ashamed at this pain I feel inside
Overflowing with agony and hate
Drowning underneath its raging tide

Forever in the grasp of death's hands
Shivering from the promise it brings
My heart is bruised and battered
As I cut away the last of the strings

Free-falling into the empty void below
Darkness engrossing every bit of light
Shallow breaths to match a shallow mind
Hatred evolving into an ugly spite

The coldness flowing over me
Emptying my eyes until they are void
The last breath of air escapes my lungs
Until who I am is forever destroyed
