Return to me

by Ronald Edwards   Sep 19, 2010

But to find sweet surrender
in my lovers arms.
Eager, smooth, moist lips glistening, beckoning.
Tender words softly whispered
easing my worried mind,
soothing my soul.

All but carried away by the winds of change,
growing silent, ever silent.
Distance absorbs
these silhouettes of memories
becoming a faint mirage
returning to mere thoughts,
wants and desires
of being in love with her once more.

This part says a lot about the affection you have for her, strong and willing. Liked it very much..keep penning :)

A great love poem. Talking about either being in love with someone again or as Lostlove1 said a soulmate. Either way the emotions speak for themselves in this piece as you have poured your heart out into every line. Good job and keep writing.
