The Coming Day

by Jad   Sep 19, 2010

Painted skies dipped in hues,
contrasting beauty from sorrow
Coloring reds, oranges and blues,
Across the zenith as light is swallowed.

Darkness envelops all life,
Draping the world once again.
A perpetuate moment of strife
Broken by the earths kin.

The moon shines forth bright
As an angel in the sky.
Tearing away the darkness into light,
Like separating truths from lies.

The glories of morning appear,
Tempting flowers to open again.
As the night sky starts to clear
Cascading a faint light on men.

Now with one stroke the sun
Throws light down like a waterfall,
And now we have begun
Another day into the coming fall.
