Dear Mouse

Dear Mouse -

You think I didn't see you,
Sneak across the door,
You think I didn't see you,
Scamper over the floor,
You think I didn't hear you,
Gnawing out the walls,
You think I didn't hear you,
Scratching with your claws,
You think I didn't notice,
The shredded mess you left,
You think I didn't notice,
Your stinking little theft,
You think I'll ignore,
All that's ruined in your run,
You think I'll ignore,
And let you have all the fun,
You think I'll let you stay,
Getting bolder all the time,
You think I'll let you stay,
Like you were some friend of mine,
You think you're so smart,
The king of all the land,
You think you're so smart,
But not from where I stand.
You're a salve to your stomach,
This weakness I know,
You're a slave to your stomach,
Follow where it will go,
You'll wonder what it is,
This cheesy piece of wood and steel,
You'll wonder what it is,
As you reach for your last meal,
You think I'll miss you once you're gone,
Peeps and squeaks never spoken,
You think I'll miss you once you're gone,
With your bloody neck all broken.
This is your final warning,
I live alone in my house
This is your final warning,
Beat it, Get lost little mouse.

Brilliant write, the flow is wonderful. It never gets to repetitive. The humour of the poem is darkly comic. I really enjoyed this read.
