The Milky Way Bar

by RainbowSlider   Sep 21, 2010

She was a warrior of Venus and I was a warrior of Mars.
So naturally we would often meet at the Milky Way Bar.
We formalized up so incognito like earthlings in disguise.
Was nice sharing different strategies like honesty and lies.

She had a friendly smile and she added to my self worth.
Found out she was a double agent sent from planet Earth.
I was worried about entrapment and what I should let on.
Didn't know how to talk to her but I thought she was fun.

I found out she trying to pick my brain so I closed down.
Shouldn't have let her know me but I liked being a clown.
It wasn't like she was this enemy and this was our place.
Even if it was only just for the off time I must save face.

After all I was a double agent and wondered if she knew.
I would get so paranoid but I needed my relaxation, too.
If we put each other in jeopardy we would both be fools.
A hard lesson I had learned from being in the old school.

So I tried to keep my conversation with her light and easy.
Since the friendship and my own thoughts made me dizzy.
Maybe we still could both enjoy each other's company afar.
So we could still meet at my favorite place; Milky Way Bar.

I really enjoyed this yarn, wonderful stucture and the rhyme is spot on. The lines are desciptive and layered. You have crafted a gem.
