This is a declaration to myself
officially putting the book back on the shelf
the time has come to get back to me
i want to be the person i used to be
the one who didn't care what people said
one who was never scared and hid under the bed
the girl who was bright and intelligent
who lived life and knew what it meant
i let you ruin who i was and change my mind
but now i know where i stand the stars have alined
i will never let someone change who i was born to be
