Youth

by Nobody   Sep 21, 2010

Standing here on the corner where we met
seeing the faces of people we once loved

bits and pieces of the barbed wired memories
a guarded portrait of the life we once lived

funny how we thought we could last forever
now your just a pile of bones six feet under

foolish for mistaking youth as immortallity
trying to ride the fast lane and taking short cuts

too bad it all caught up to us in the end
you cant speed chase fate, you're certain to loose
