Write Your Heart.

by Hologram   Sep 25, 2010

To the poet, the writer,
The reviewer, and reader.
Write . Your . Heart
To the friend and believer.
The martyr and deceiver.
Write . Your . Heart

We're not here to kill
Or to prove what is real.
Everyone came to write
The emotions they feel.

Stop the pain, and the hate.
All these hearts that they break.
Take a look, between the lines,
Are the lives you affect worth the crime?

Say a prayer for the past.
Create hope that will last.
It's not home, but it's close.
The art we create in rhyme and prose.
Write . Your . Heart

Write Your Heart
To the hunter, the seeker,
the strong, and the weaker.
Write . Your . Heart
To the parent, the child,
The teen running wild.

Write . Your . Heart
We're not here to judge,
Or to hold every grudge.
We're just trying to release
The pain that won't budge.

No more games, no more threats.
No more words you'll regret.
Shed your tears, let it go.
Stop trying to attack with nothing to show.

All these lies breathe disease.
Looking back, are you pleased?
It's not hell but its close,
Everything we share in rhyme and prose.
Write . Your . Heart

    You are brilliant.
I have to admit, I am jealous. You have gotten better and better after all this time, you still write. I can't write anymore, the words just don't work for me.

    - deffinately my favourite stanza, kind of reminds me of 30 Seconds To Mars - This Is War.
It was great reading your work again, I have missed it.
