Autumn Infant

by Poet on the Piano   Sep 25, 2010

Huff & release
the season tactic
to melt my stem;
not even sun screams
could stretch my
nimble chords.

Push & urge
for me to be spent
before ice caves;
like a sharp penny
held by innocence
I only shine once.

Drift & fall
element brushes
alive in collision;
intense colour
differentiated between
eyes and avarice.
