Sunshower

by Poet on the Piano   Sep 26, 2010

Beneath the midnight keys
I feel your feet running toward me,
beyond anything I could fathom.
Old love calls and recounts
effervescent quotations,
unrehearsed yet perfect.
You are waiting like still water
for your sail to return
and while moon is reaped,
you cup atoms of the sun
and drizzle them artfully
for my hands to catch.
Still I reminisce,
our undying memory will soon
reset the meaning love holds
into an irrevocable ballad
that never stops at a cadence. .
