No winning.

by Cate Rock   Sep 26, 2010

Theres no winning this...
No loss,
Just no hope to mush on.

No love to fuel me.
No strength to carry me.
No purpose to drive me.
No winning.

I wanted to win...
Not to long ago.
Wanted to survive.
And learn to thrive.

Wanted happiness...
Wanted hope.
Wanted love.

I'd give anything to be happy now.
To win my own heart over is what I vow.

Ill live and Ill learn,
and to fill this urn.

Ill love...
Some how...
Sometime soon.

But till that day I still sleep to noon,
Black out curtains being the star of my life,
Always to be pushed down by the wife.

So long winning...Goodbye.

pushed down by the wife? funny line might I say. Ofcorse taking nothing out of your words it's clear your emotions are true and this is why i find your poems so fascinating 5/5. yours truly
