Community Rose Garden

Walking up my steps one day I found a very very strange odd thing

A sight you wouldn't believe,

A flower garden that spring would bring.

Flowers, flowers with colors hard to conceive,

All the flowers brought pollen to cling.

My eyes so stunned at what I would see.

I saw a big bright sign flashing at me!

" Community Rose Garden, where flowers are free "

What a wonderful place for a flower to be!

There I saw it and I chuckled a bit.

A community garden for roses to sit.

As I looked closer it was then that I saw

Something so marvelous I can't tell you it all.

Two roses were chatting as they looked on afar.

Laughing at some Tulip sitting at a leaf covered bar.

He was sitting in pity with his raindrop in hand.

Sitting down was easy because his shame he couldn't stand.

On the rose ladies went laughing with their petals up in air.

" I bet he feels mistreated, While we feel it's fair! "

Mr. Tulip kept on sitting in his thorny, sturdy chair.

While the roses kept on laughing not knowing I was there..

From there I proceeded to send them a greeting.

Little did they know it was for Mr. Tulip I was interceeding.

I told them to leave the poor guy alone.

" Look, stop it, or i'll destroy your little home! "

Frightened and hushed the roses shrunk down.

Mr. Tulip got up and his frown turned around.

Suddenly he went from a pale kind of blue

To a wonderous yellow, coated in dew.

So all was well in the Community Rose Garden.

All the mean flowers Mr. Tulip had pardoned.

It was a grand place for flowers to gather.

Today, and Tomorrow, and every day after.
