The Devil I Hate To Be

by quiet lullaby   Oct 3, 2010

Darkness Tricks My Mind,
Those Shadows Play Wicked Games.
The Night Child Screams Are Silenced,
My Desperate Soul Captured Again.

Entering My Thoughts,
Slowly Creeping Into My Dreams,
Stealing The Life I Own,
Feeding My Savage Demons.

Only I Can See It Happen,
But Then Its Too Late To Change,
I Don't Do This Deliberatly,
Its What The Devil Made Me Crave.

My Mind Is Taken,
Along With My Body And Soul,
Toxic Poison Rushing Through My Blood,
He Is Now In Controll.

And In Hell, The Reflection Of My Eyes,
It Makes Me Sick To See,
This Ugly Walking Mess.

The Devil I Hate To Be.

Pretty deep stuff you got going on in this poem. I really enjoyed the feeling of despair and hopelessness in this ( I think somewhere in all of us we have that feeling at times ). Just a suggestion.... I think it would read better if you didn't capitalize almost every word in the poem, and I picked up on one misspelled word ..."controll" should be control. These are only suggestions that in my opinion would make a great poem even better. Hope no offense is taken. Thank you for your comment on my poem, I will be looking forward to reading more of your work.

    Take Care,
