Across Oceans.

by Steven Beesley   Oct 4, 2010

So far away are you my sweet,
yet your words still linger in my
ears; softly echoing again and again
till I drift into sleep.

The vast oceans that
separate us only seem
to increase the yearning
for you I have in my heart.

Yet my heart soars
with the winds across
the miles so I may
be with you.

A cornucopia of stars
greet me and saturate
this night and my only wish
is for you to be by my side.

For I wish to hear
your sweet murmurs
of love under a
blanket of stars.

In the distance a nightingale
sings announcing your presence,
the night air carried the sweet
scent of your perfume to me.

As I awake, I realize
that this is all but a sweet dream.
You are however always
deep in my heart.

Across oceans, I love that title
the whole poem is written with so much
    emotions
it reminds me of home, far away, the ocean
    is seperating us

In our dreams there is no distance only sweet love and tenderness shared by two that want their special time.

Distance may separate us, but love can still flourish. Well done.

A good love poem. You got out your emotions in this piece quite well as you unfolded the story for us(readers) as we read the poem. The flow was good from start to finish as was the meaning in every line. Good job and keep writing.
