Two Much

by Ronald Edwards   Oct 5, 2010

Can anyone give too much to another,
is there a limit on the amount?
When do you begin to smother,
is there a line thats paramount?

Has there ever been to much of any one thing
that two lovers can feel and share?
The joy in the act of give and take
showing up with ultimate care.

Can too much love hinder ones growth,
deter a path that one must travel?
Can relationships have too much involvement
making ones goals start to unravel?

Air and water is needed
in amounts that cant be measured.
To be with each other as much as one can
experiences shared, remembered then treasured.

Our life span is numbered
who knows the length,
the seasons
pass by us encumbered.

Each day that is lost just a flash of ones life
is time wasted, forever and gone.
When we could have given too much to each other
those two lovers, Baby and Ron.

Loving someone to much can smother them. It is a difficult balance in love and if we don't find that balance we can ruin the relationship. Well done.

This stanza is true. Our life is numbered and
at any time anything can happen. This write
makes us think deeply about relationships..do
we give too much, must we give too much..
    an intersting read :)

A very emotional piece about expressing ones love for another but wondering if at sometimes you could possibly love someone too much. Good question but at my young age I would have to say that I don't know. :P Still it is evident that you love this person a lot from the lines you wrote that flow pretty good from beginning to the end. Good job and keep writing.
