Remembering Mum

by quiet lullaby   Oct 6, 2010

Short, green blades of grass my company and i sit in the meadow of my muse.
The light wisps of the delicate air, warmth blowing in.
I gaze to the heavens and watch as clouds cut the vast blue.

Your my mind, the tranquil within my soul. My happiness to know your now resting.

In my pain, in my grief, in all the despair and heartache, i forgot the cause.

I resented you, for everything that was done wrong.

You medicated your child before sleeping, to be poisoned. Yet turned you back when she medicated herself into sleeping.

The men, your Saviour's you brought in your home.
The men, the devils that took your child's innocence.
The irrational fears, paranoia and your complete craze.
Nothing like abut of mental heath to make the rest of us all look sane.

I remember the day, we went on a bus.
Jacked up, we missed our stop.
Passed out, they thought you'd never wake.
They saved us from you that day,
but the battle had only just begun.

So i sit in this green meadow, and remember you mum.
Its sad that you caused all that is wrong.
Its a thought to think that maybe its alright,
because if your not here now, then at least i can keep up the fight.
