Damages Done

by Jackie Martinez   Oct 6, 2010

Some people claim to be invincible;
Some claim to be helpless and lost;
Some claim to be strong and determined;
However, within ourselves we know the truth.
The truths that stay buried deep,
In the black abyss known as our hearts.
The truths that will never be revealed,
To the rays of honest light.
The truths that no one can be shown.
The truths that cause us so much pain.
The truths that will eventually fade,
When the lies were fed become the lovely truth.
The lies will become what we are.
Lies, Lies, And More Lies!
Until one day we look in the mirror,
And ask ourselves,
What is the real truth?
What are the real reasons?
We'll be so far gone,
We wont find our way back.
The damage will be done.
No turning back.
