Alone

by Shane Hazelbaker   Oct 6, 2010

I stand alone me against the world I'm so cold,
I wish i had a home, my cloths are torn because I've been wearing them for years
I have No food or fresh water for me to nourish myself because I am broke and alone, So I sit in a cardboard box cause its hard when you are addicted to rocks
I shiver at night, always waiting to die because I am in pain and alone
I Don't have anyone to love me so as i sit bye the fire and wonder why I'm so alone I start to ponder,
Oh how I wish i had a home and a fresh pair of clothes, But i don't so i just sit and wait for that day when i finally don't awake from this hellish life and hopefully i did right
Because i wont be cold and alone no more i will be in heaven hopefully enjoying the light.

Hey, i loved this poem, i think the structure could do with a bit of a revamp. Just to make it easier to follow and read. I hope you don't mind, but here is my suggestion,

I'm torn inside 'cause i was tossed aside and left to die,
as i sit and wonder why you treated me like dirt.
why you got to do those evil things baby?
    'cause you know they hurt.
I use to be on top of the world,
    lovin' everyday of my life.
But now you've got me just wanting to give up and die.
    'cause you got me thinking,
there is nothing left to live for in my life.
    I say screw it.
I just jump into the dark abyss,
'cause my life ain't worth any of this stupid $h¡T.

I sorted out your grammar a little bit too, sorry.

Anyway just my thoughts, still a great poem.
