Sun Roof Dreams

by LT 8D   Oct 10, 2010

Under the moonlight it all seems dark,

Gazing up at the countless stars,

As my neighbors dog continues to bark.

But this is not the reason for my sleeplessness,

Its more like a sickening feeling within,

That can only be described as emptiness.

A missing link between me and you,

As I ponder through my sun roofs view.

Will I be able to count her freckles?

Or just lose track when I stare into her eyes?

I cant tell you how many days,

I have asked myself this while looking to the skies.

But after five hundred and thirty one days,

I still don't have an answer...

I think its because those are just cliches.

To what really matters,

A warm hand to hold with in my own,

A Love that others wish they could clone,

A future as one, left unknown,

So together we may become a polished gemstone,

Of love withstanding any cyclone,

Just as long as I am no longer alone.

My dream under the sun roof,

That I happily call my own.
