The Mirror

Distinguished, she stands, accomplished and apprehensive,
Captive her audience, diverse and intriguingly extensive,
Sublime in her demeanour, unforgiving in her honesty,
She depicts that, which is, in its explicit entirety,
No fragment lost, free from distortion, she reflects with competency,
Depicting images, her presentation one of supreme accuracy,
Cursed or gifted? Only the truth of reality, her illustration,
Exact and precise, she presents, her visually inspiring imitation,
Committed to her objective, applying expertise to her profession,
Detail defined, as she continues forward with unrelenting obsession,
Fragments combined, the light refracts, an image created,
A subject before her, she shines a response, to be translated,
The essential accessory, for the vain and shallow of preference,
Mercilessly seeking out flaws, she delivers them with indifference,
Highlighting points, she performs, to the viewer’s discretion,
Whatever your desire she surely leaves a lasting impression,
Yet her ability to encourage the subject with minor detail is unsurpassed,
Only she holds the key to this contradictory yet incredible contrast,
Take your time and study carefully your own reflection,
Take note of the beauty and each minor imperfection
Stare a while;
Witness your mask fall before her, acquiescence in her judgement,

The harder you look the more you will see....
