Momentary Indecision

by jen sheridan   Oct 20, 2010

The pause, that occurs somewhere between, options and selections,
The time people take, to peruse their inner reflections,
Is often, a crucial indication, of the ensuing preference,
That will be, laid out, for your as beneficial, with indifference,
The longer, the pause, the more in depth are the implications,
Save yourself, my friend, dont open yourself to these conversations,
Watch their eyes, as their mind ticks over, the wondrous variety,
Temptation, to take advantage, is instilled by our society,
Feasting and savouring, the electives you have so, innocently granted,
The offer, once made, cannot be easily or reasonably recanted,
Times passes, as you nervously wait, for the verdict they have concluded,
Guaranteed to be, advantageous to the last, as your stare is eluded,
Their answer, prolonged, by the use of unnecessary verbal manipulations,
Slowly adding, to the climax, listening intently to their summations,
You listen, knowing the eventuality, before their words hit the floor,
They look to your face, to see how many points, their comments score,
Think long and hard, before you ask that fatal question,
It is very, very possible you will not like the replied suggestion.
Dont treat this pause before you, as something of insignificance,
This momentary indecision, before you, is of tremendous relevance.

A persons actions and reactions betray them, observe and learn.
