Nobody cared

It seemed like nobody cared.

All of her friends turned their backs.
They pretended like they didn't see the scars on her wrists.
But deep down inside she knew it couldn't be true.

They never returned her calls.
But she blew it off like no calls were made.

Her brother never had time for her.
He would never take her to the movies or even to the arcade.
He made promises but also abandoned them.

One night she finally gave up.
She placed her finger on the trigger, about to pull.
Only a few seconds left of this horrible life she thought to herself.
Just as she pulled the trigger,
Just as she was about to take her life away,
Her brother walked in and slapped the gun from her hands.
The bullet went through his palm and blood gushed.
He was rushed to the hospital where his last words were said.
She blacked out completely.

All she remembers were his few words said.
Don't think nobody cares. Many do.

Her friends flocked back like a group of seagulls in the sky.
Nobody knew the true pain.
Nobody knew the one person she cared most about ,and the person who cared for her, was dead.
She killed her brother.
