This is among my favorite poems of all time - famous and PnQ poems included.
It makes my eyes water. I feel like you're talking about ME; like you wrote this poem after looking into my heart and walking in my footsteps.
I'm sure most people can relate. All poets.

Enchanting, moving, emotionally stimulating, thought provoking - all these things, and more.

    Thank you.

Nice to see you've tightened up your featured poems. Must have been tough culling your natives like that. "Elysium" should have remained. "Jump" should have stayed too- it's one of the few rhyming pieces that I remember liking on this site.

This poem deserves to be at the top. It speaks of sibyllene from front to back, inside to out, top to toe, prison wall to open window. It speaks of anyone with a thirst to capture a beauty to behold forever. It's not always a good thing. It doesn't seem to be a very organic way of living. But there it is, and I love us for it.

Yeah, I've been in a cleaning mood of sorts. I keep going through and demoting a bunch, only to add them again later, because when it comes down to it, I am a hoarder at heart. I can add on "Elysium" and "Jump" again, though. There is no strict doctrine concerning what gets on there and what gets the ax.

I'm glad you get this poem. I knew you would, but I'm still glad.

    You. Poet.
With your eye and your tongue
and your heart that's too big,
far too big to be filled
by even the whole world's wild aching splendor
(like an opera house that dies
every evening at finite), you are
    starving still for more

They have it wrong. You were speaking directly to me. I know it. Very good. I even had to look up pointillist so i am better educated than when i started reading it.
    I love your style.
